The Town Clerk maintains a permanent record of all births and deaths which occur within the Town, as well as, all marriage licenses purchased here regardless of where the marriage occurred. Our records date back to 1842 when the Town first started to keep such records. Such records allow us to assist with genealogical research. Strict adherence to New York State law is applied when processing requests for vital records.

Please be aware that there were two fires at the Town of Oakfield.  Once in the late 1890’s and the other in the late 1920’s---you are welcome to inquire but it is most likely those records were destroyed.

This is an official request for an aspect of the Oakfield, NY Town Clerk's Office. The information contained in this request should be considered private. Please complete all information in full and then finalize the order process through payment of the 'order fee'.

You will be notified by email when your document is ready for pick-up.

The fee payment will be paid through Permitium Payments.  The charge will show on your credit card statement as 'PermVitalRecs'. This is a secure and trusted provider of payment services.
